Does anyone know how to change the "No briefing is available for this mission" to an actual briefing like in most JA levels.
In the file 'loadscreen.menu' it says something about a cvar 'ui_missionbriefing', maybe that has something to do with it.
Just adding the text to 'briefings.str' doesn't work.

You indeed need to add the text to the briefings string file. Unfortunately you also need to pack that string file in .pk3 and absolutely have it inside your base folder for it to work. It won't work through load mod. That is a problem several people are now wondering about. Hopefully some solution can be found.

This also holds true for subtitles and custom credits...

Hey it works!
Thanks!
But I still hope there is a way to use it as a mod, I don't like putting stuff in my base folder cause they might screw up the game.

Actually, it works when you use a batch file with:
jasp +set sv_pure 0 +fs_game modname

Thanks to lasse and Torchy for this one. :)

Actually it's just Torchy. I was too bloody skeptic to ever believe in this before... Well, now I stand corrected by Torchy.

They are not stupid at all. They are really cool people. But you must understand that some people at the management and marketing are always pushing them with deadlines. And then there are the screaming mob of fans eagerly awaiting the game, not ready to wait just another month to be sure the bugs would be taken care of completely. And competitors are releasing their own games and thus creating additional pressure. Yeah, it's not a simple thing...
