Here are my drawings from looking at SSBM:

Bowser (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Bowser.jpg)
Donkey Kong (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/DK.jpg)
Captain Falcon (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Falcon.jpg)
Fox Mcloud (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Fox.jpg)
Gannondorf (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Gannon.jpg)
Mr. Game & Watch (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/MrGW.jpg)
Samus (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Samus.jpg)
Shiek (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Shiek.jpg)
Yoshi (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Yoshi.jpg)
Zelda (http://photos.mossgreen.net/html/upload/Zelda.jpg)

I witheld my Kirby, Toad, Falco, Link, and Meta-Knight drawings. Because Kirby is too simple, Toad, and Falco didn't look that great when they came out, Meta-Knight was my brother's drawing (I shaded it) and Link didn't look great so I gave it to my friend that loves Link.

So, questions? Comments? Favorites?

Cool. I like your pic of Zelda the most. :) And I also think your avatar is rather amusing to look at in a simplistic sort of way. I like it.

well, these aren't bad... the shading is much too dark and it creates sort of a blur in some pictures... the proportions of the body aren't correct... nevertheless good pictures... try harder to get the anatomy correct :p

I do realise there are faults in my drawings, but the reason the shading is too dark is because of the scanner, the paper lost it's transparency in the scan so it seems darker. The blurriness is probably because your browser sized it down automatically, hold your mouse over it and click the thing that pops up (assuming you don't know already) the proportions I know are wrong in some places, but others, like Falcon's leg, is perspective, he had his leg bent and his knee facing the camera at the time.

1. I taught myself, I always do that.
2. My mom is an artist, she gave me a couple tips.

good stuff. the key to becoming great is practise.....are you considering a career in visual arts, or do just draw for fun(I do). I like doing free association drawing. Psychiatrists/psychologists teach it as a tool to express the subconscious, its amazing what can result after a quick squiggle with free association drawing.....

I've been doing these for almost 15 years now, and I have kept most of them(over 1000), some are quite interesting to look at....

I use it to relax, to calm the rage I used to feel after browsing the JA forums after about 10 mins.... :p

heres one I did the other day.....

Nice drawings there, IG! I too have always liked drawing by looking at the object, especially when i'm bored. Sometimes i take a marker and just draw designs on my arm that turn out sweet. I might do one on my whole arm and then make it a sig. :P

btw, that is some nice coloring! A+!

IG how much time do you spend looking at the object? Try looking at it from different ways... it might make your drawings better :p. Granted the ways you can move in SSB are limited...

Oh.. Astro I would like you to psychoanalyze me as I plan to go into psychology or literature :p... I'm gonna PM you one of these days...

what do you find wrong with them? Is there a specific part of one of the characters that you thought was wrong? Did you not like anything about them?

Give me an example...

IGs pics are cool. Someone above said that your pics display an individual style. That's really important, thats the greatest compliment anyone could ever give you ! Its just like seeing a movie by a particular director or a painting by a particular artist and saying "hey, thats him, I can see his style!"......

Mike, Id be happy to discuss free association drawing with you, and the different elemens of psychology versus psychiatry(as far as I know from professional and personal experience only)but Im far from qualified to to *psychoanalyze* you ! :p

*Astro lights up a pipe, "So Mike, you said you had a dream about a cucumber, are you SURE it was just a cucumber..?" :p *
