er.... I guess since this thread is self-explanatory... how did YOU find out about LF? A friend? A link? somewhere else? A lot of people or on LF, so I thought it would be interesting to ask this question.
I found out about LF from a friend of mine. That is it.

Well... I hastingly signed up for LFN just to look something up for galaxies, later, I bought JA and found a link to jediknight.net, which linked me back here, I then started to find a bunch of cheats and became known, then for some reason on one mysterious day I migrated to the swamp. And now here I remain.
I was surfing jediknight.net and saw something about a clone trooper/ARC trooper/ Jango Fett skin pack. I was so pwned...
As I've said more then A dozen times, I didn't find LucasForums, it found me.
I was surfing one day before the days of LF, when the forums were their own and they were seperate. But it changed very quickly. LucasGames, we were then called. Then eventually, we were LucasForums.

I was playing JO(that game has changed my life..not because it was good, though:p), and I wanted to know how to counter grips. Binga-badda-boom, I ended up being hooked.

I seriously don't remember. I believe I was downloading some maps for JO and clciked on some random banner than said "LFN" and well, sorta wandered in. I didn't even make a welcoming thread, so it took me a while to get used to you freaks. :p

Back in the days when Episode Obi-Wan was Dark Forces 3, there was a website known as... actually, I can't remember what it was called, episodeobiwan.net or something. I never bothered registering, and lurked there for ages - I think I did register and post a couple of times, but nothing much. Only a few of those regulars still remain, StormHammer, Kurgan etc.. My brother was one of them (ed_silvergun) - I believe they formed the "InterGalactic Plummerman Alliance". Anyway, when Obi Wan was cancelled for PC everyone was pretty upset. A few months later, JK2 was announced, and soon after jediknightii.net was set up. They had their own forums, then eventually LucasForums came into being. I was still lurking, then, I finally decided to register a couple of years ago ;) The rest, as they say, is history.
So, even though I don't look like an "oldie", I've been around these parts for some time :p

just before Outcast got released i thought id see what the official website had to say while i waited for my package to come. and i just thought id nip into forums to see what was going on about the game. it was great, i think going on the official forum at the same time as playing the game complements each other very well. it gives u chance to talk to people who like it also doesnt it?

i came for Galaxies never bought the game since it costs an arm and a leg and then found the Swamp or so i thought but...
...The Swamp is like the ONE RING, it seems to find you and has a purpose for you, but when you are no longer needed it throws you away. Fortunately I sell Swamp Patches that can get YOU a life back. They come in packs of three, and are sold in the lobby.:D

Well anyways, I can't really remember. I somehow found out about skins, and ended up and jediknightii.net. I saw the sign that said we want you(yes, the same one that sam clicked on :) ), and came here. I decided to join and never thought I'ld end up here this long. I think I had like 6 posts when I made the mistake of coming here.

Well, I was just surfing the web (which back in the day I didn't do alot of) and was looking for straties for Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and went to this one site called if memory serves, Galactic Battlegrounds Heaven. Then saw a link that said help clicked it and it took me to the GB forum and anyways I stayed there a while and met some not so nice poeple that thought they were just somethin, then I bought JK2 and went to that forum, and occationally came to the swamp (I posted on the entire forums about twice a month). And a few months later JA was anounced and I stayed in there for a while and when the game came out I jumped back into the swamp...*looks at quick sand that is acctually crust from Bob's pants* And wouldn't ya-know it, I'm still stuck :rolleyes: .
I wonder what the GB forum looks like now :eek:
I was looking for a walkthrough for the maze with lazers and things level on Jedi Outcast, well I think thats why, at least..... :confused:

I was checking out files, cheats, and the like on the now defunct jediknightii.net, and saw this lucasforums thing. I also saw references on a couple files and whatnot. So I came in. I was like, okay. Then I found the Senate Chambers, started a massive Evolution-Creation debate on my first post that went to something like 300+ replies, and have been hooked ever since. The Swamp sucks and rarely has the best threads, but it's better when we get good people in here. Mostly I just ignore the true freaks and count myself in among the tru weirdos...

Hmmmmm..... at the time I was experiencing some problems on JK2 multiplayer.
I found jediknightii.net and took it from there. I think my first thread was about high Pings...... :)
i had beaten KoTOR for the 2nd time and i was looking for cheats.
and for some reason instead of searching for KoTOR i just typed the KoTOR forum (i forgot what its called since i never go there anymore) and looked around and found something that said
"hot forums" or somthing like that and i klicked on the 'hottest' one and it turned out to be a RP one, i sighned up, i joined the thread, and then i stayed there posting in the RP forum for a month and then i went searching for another RP forum. i got to "star wars roleplaying" and eventually i came here.

I think I was looking around JK.net, and came across the forums. The first threads that managed to get me addicted were "Is Boba Fett in JA?" and this other one about some guy claiming the JA demo was coming out the next day...it never did, of course.
Then I realised how rubbish JA was and moved over to the KOTOR forums, after making that rideable mutant rancor thing.
Then the KOTOR forums got boring and I decided to see what 'Yoda's Swamp' was like...

likewise, though when i saw it i didnt join cause i found it 'too crowded'..only joined longer than a year after since j-o.com lost me interest

Back when JO had just been announced, back when I was still playing JK (And going to jediknight.net occasionally, back when it looked old.) I went to the new Jediknightii.net site, and it proudly advertised the forums. (Something I'd never noticed with the old jediknight.net)
I joined, did some discussing as more screenies were produced, and once JO was released, really just sort of stopped coming.
Then came Knights of the Old Republic. I went to starwarsknights.net, and found LF again. I returned, had many a conversation with Com Raven, Stormhammer, occasionally Kurgan and lexx. I started RP'ing there. (matter of fact, there's a multi-page RP thread in there that's basically me and another posting going back and forth.)
Then, KotoR was released to the Xbox. I went into sort of a hermitage, vowing one day to return. And I did, eventually, when it became apparent I wasn't going to be able to upgrade my video card anytime soon, and therefore would also not be playing KotoR any time soon.
Then, when those RP forums died down, I was forced to move here to continue my pathetic existence of RP'ing.
And I started looking at other forums again. There you go- the whole long torturous affair.
I first found out about this site when I was in like, grade 8.
I only came for tips and stuff though, I didn't visit the forums until like, late 2 years ago.
Well. How was it... Oh, right.
I was wandering in Google, trying to find something related to JK: Dark Forces 2 and found my way to jediknightii.net. There I wandered for a few hours and found the hosted sites and that led me here. I wandered here for many hours until I found the RPG(Yay!!! :D ) section. There i wandered for a year and some times came here, to the swamp but you guy's didn't make any sense to me then, so I came now here last week and rally tried to make sense of you and(Yay!!! :D) acoomplished my mission. Now I'm locked here for some reason... Damn you LF researchers made a huge firewall that we can't get out except throught the God's(/Moderator's/Admin's) hands :p

My friend, ET Warrior, was here and I decided to join.
My brother joined a car forum and I thought, hey that’s cool, so I went to google and ended up here.
I was here well before Obi-Wan the game was released. In fact, I owned a site that was actually competition to the LucasGames' Obi-Wan site.
I got sick and tired with the administration crap behind a site. I loved to make up new designs. so i called it quits. closed it down. and joined LFNetwork (back then LucasGames)
so yeah... administrative stuff sucks :D

well....way back when I was at aresen and XWA....then.....they merged the forums and made it into Lucas Forums....they didnt exist when I was here....and XWA and RSN were seperate, tho shared a few of the same users.....when they were mixed, I hated it for a while...but I suppose its ok....most of the original forums have long since died out......xwa is totally dead....then GB was the big thing, and the cantina...and....
damn its been a while, hasn't it.
anyways, I'm redwing's younger brother, I'm 17 and 'he' is 18, .....she showed me the forums, the same month he joined, I joined...and....that was that...i've been lurking around ever since.

I was playing a lot of JK2 MP, and I saw this guy wall walk and I wanted to know how he did it, so I started searching for answers. I found this site and subsequently the forums, posted a thread asking how to do it and then after learning everything possible stuck around to help out others.
