When me and my friends were walking home from school today we were walking past some social homes, when a woman in a white jacket came out. She had almost no teeth, and looked like she was taken right out of the Excorsist...
She screamed stuff at us, like "I like to kill four year olds!" and "I buried my children in the back yard!".
We ran, of course, and she followed us for a bit, and then she turned around and started chasing other kids.
The ground was covered in ice, and my friend almost fell as we were running. I bet that if he fell, she would have stabbed him.
We called the police, and soon two police officer arrived. They had clubs and shields, and they entered what apparently was the woman's house.
10 minutes later they came out, and the woman was wearing handcuffs.
A little later we called the newspaper, and they interwieved us about what happened.
I just feel very shaken right now :(

what a nut job... still, makes for an interesting story. you just need to jazz it up abit. like, say she was covered in blood and carrying an axe. and say she went for you but you judo-chopped her good and then made your getaway... in a corvette that someone left unlocked.... yeah, play your cards right and you might get a movie deal out of it :D

It's good that she got arrested. It sounds like things worked out about as good as one could hope for.

And no, i wouldn't have attacked someone holding a knife... I just feel it wouldn't be worth it.
We got this lady (actually we have a few of em, but this one is crazy) around where I live that we call 'The Purple Lady'. She's fat and wears all purple and has a purple cane she'll hit you with if you walk infront of her or try to talk to her.
Or 'The Crazy Lady' who walks into Taco Bell and Burger King all the time asking for free food and she'll condemn you to Hell if you don't give her any.
Then theres 'Cart Guy', who I don't know much about save he only talks to people if they're alone and he's really creepy.
My friend had an encounter with 'Random Guy', who'll lurk in the shadows somewhere and as soon as your alone (we were working on the sports arena sign and I left to get some letters) he pops out and talks to you for no reason.
These are all real people in Toledo. Very frightening, the number of lunies.

She lived in one of those social homes, where they put crazy people after they've supposedly 'gotten better' from beeing in a crazy people's home (dunno the correct term)
These homes are right next to my school...

there is this guy around niagara falls and my folks call him "The Pirate" cuz he drives with a car from the 70's and it filled top to bottom with stuffed animals....also he dresses with ladies clothes from the salvation army...and i mean 80's style clothes....as it turns out he is my grandmothers best friends uncle.....and we made fun of him one day and she knew who we were conversing about.....but if i can get a decent shot of him ill post it as soon as i can...but hes mostly a spring summer person so it might be some time..... :fett:

Crazy old ladies......scary. Crazy old ladies with knives, however, is just downright freakish. Good thing she was arrested. It's an even better thing you're getting your name in the paper for reporting her to the police.

It is sensible that you did not confront her. The best thing was of course doing exactly what you did, clear out and notify the authorities. She most likely is unwell, in some form, and that needs to be treated by professionals. Being beat up by a gang of teenagers wouldn't help that womans state of mind one bit.....
All I would like to say is, well done for handling it so maturely, and secondly(this goes to others too), please try not to be too judgemental about this unfortunate woman...you do not know her story, and in many such cases, they are tragic ones. People arent just born like that, for most part.....

(inside:) [B]Several teenagers at (schools name) got a serious scare yesterday. On their way from school they were threatened and stalked by a woman who was mentally unstable.
At 14:19 yesterday the police were informed of a woman with a who was chasing people with a kitchen knife. The police investigated immideatly and got hold of the 35 year old woman in her own home in (streets name).
Nobody was hurt in the action.
"This woman is known by the police, and is in obvious mental unstability. She was taken directly to (mental institutions name)," the operation leader at the police station says.
The case was followed by q police group who will contact all the people involved during the day.
Scared to death
The ninth graders (our names) were some of the people who got to experience the happening close up, on their way home from school. Only a few meters away from the school the boys saw a woman yelling at other students.
The woman disappeared into her home, but when the three boys passed she reappeared. This time she was armed with a kitchen knife.
"She shouted that she liked to kill small kids and bury them in the back yard. Then we ran" (name) tells us.
"We were scared to death. I started to slip in the hill, and then she was only a meter behind me. I'll never forget her face," says (name).
The woman chased the boys towards (place), until she turned at the bus stop and started to act hostile towards a waiting passenger.
School road
Younger kids walks through the same area too, on their way to and from school.
"I don't see why people have chosen to place that kind of people next to a school. It shouldn't be necessary that somebody gets killed before they realise that we can't have mental pasients here," says (name).
He's intending to take this up with the school.
"Little we can do"
(name), principal at (school), wasn't informed of the happening when (newspaper) talked to him last night.
"We kniow that many of the homes in (street) uses by mental pasients under inspection. But there's little we can do. We can't define who's allowed to live there, but we will encourage the (town government) to check if the people are capable of living there." the principle says.
He promises that the school inspectors will be more visible in the future. He also encourages the stundents to find alternate routes home.

I wouldn't dwell too much on that If I were you MMMPIE. Believe me when I say it will eat away at you. I've been on the business end of a blokes rifle, so I at least know what that kind of fear does to you. You did the right thing by getting out of there and reporting this woman.
