I'm going throught the game(again) and retextureing as i go and I'm looking for feedback.

Tell me what you think so far.
1.I like the both Juhani recolorings.did you add more detail to her face?
2.Hk looks ok but he needs more definition. I would add color to his his eyes to make em glow red and add a slightly lower shade to his face so you can see all the details.
Juhani looks good. I did the same thing for HK-47, only made is eyes bright red... very evil... very sinister... fell the fire...
I did add some detail. she didn't reall have eyebrows just marks way above her brow that made her seem surprised all the time. I've added added eyebrows and erased the arches. you can see the diffrence in my pictures the close up has the altered texture but the full shot was taken with the head unaltered.

As for HK, I think I'm saving my energy until an importer/exporter comes out. then I'll replace the entire head. If i were to change anything I'd make the scrapes in his paint more obvious though, you know, I think I just don't love HK as much as juhani. But i did save all the work I did on HK as a photoshop document(its jus a bunch of adjustment layers), so I'll keep chipping away at a Hi-res 'community version' of HK as I really do like this version.

I agree with HK's need for red eyes for a more sinister look. (He is supposed to be an assassination droid after all.)

Fine everyone. Call me crazy for thinking a assassin shouldn't glow in the dark. You'll get you're version, complete with fake, glowing eyes, and a bull's eye on the back of his head so he can fail to hide both coming and going.
I said red, not glowing.
I agree that glowing would be dumb. Red would be sinister. Glowing would be as bas as painting him day-glo orange.
who ever said driods were stealthy? I'm, they're made of metal...all that clinking has got to give away their position rather nicely on it's own. I think assassin driod means I pretend to be a protocol driod, then bust into your room and shoot up the place..

Love the retexturings, all three of them.
I won't say I think that HK's eyes should be red, but I do think that they should be visible. I'd go for a gray, only a little lighter than the black, that should achieve your stealth goal and compromise with the need for eyes.
Awesome stuff, Juhani looks much better.

Agree with F-Bomb. Gray (shiny) might be good for HK-47. He may be an assassin, doesn't mean he needs camoflauge. After all, he's rusty orange now! A little more shine, and visible eyes, will make him awesome.

I'm not much of a graphic artist (well, any artist for that matter, I'm a musician LoL) or a modder, but for some reason, I just think that the gray eyes would be the perfect complement to the "metallic black death lurking just out of your sight" motif that the retexture gives off.
I don't know how easy or difficult it is to retexture and do that, but if it's not a killer trouble, I think that I for one (and some others who replied) would love to see that black/gray texture. If you ever kick the idea around, I'd appreciate if you would e-mail it my way at d.a.bomb@juno.com

Seems the reflect map interfers with the texture. The texture for the eye is white, the details come from the map which reflects the original texture, I got rid of this detail in the texture but the map makes it hard to do what you want. I tried looking for the map, but I've had no luck. If anyone knows where that map is let me know.

Don't get me wrong, Weiser_Cain, I love the retexture.
However, I have to stand by my hope for gray eyes. This looks great and all, and I would gladly use it in my game, but I've got to hope for the gray. If there was no gray-eyed alternative, I'd love to use this one. Let the community know if/when you make it available.

However this isnt a big issue with grey though there is some stretching around the eye. I think the texture is just off and this can be fixed by editing the texture a pixel at a time.

But I'm not doing that now. Maybe I'll get to that this weekend. For now you can play with this texture. You probably won't even notice the flaws(unless you get as close as I did).

i might be wrong, but if you are talking about the shiny looking map thing, it is in the same file. if you use photoshop to edit it, the fourth channel (alpha channel) is the one that dictates which part of the texture is shiny. black = shiny whicle white = is non-shiny.
Oh yeah! I keep forgetting that! I'd better install something more robust than Photoshop elements...

I like what your doing with the skins, are you planing on doing some of the villians and other npc's in the game as well as the player party npc's.
All I can say is, you do great work. Wish I had more time (I am hip deep in my pnp SW game and some Poser textures (silly DAZ changing everything for Vicky).

Thank you. I Think i will eventually retexture the team twice, then calo, maybe malak, some armor, and weapons. There's no grand plan and some of this depends on the community(read:Koltor Tool) getting around certain limitations. I'd like to say mission is next since I've already textured her a bit, but a lot of this is done on a whim.
What I really want to do is get some high poly lightsaber models into the game, but we'll have to keep our fingers crossed on that one.

I just decided to install your HK-47 retexture and it is fantastic! I practically ran from the screen when HK said: HK-47 Ready to Serve Master! He is just plain wicked looking :)

NOTE: Don't shoot me, but if you ever make the eyes red like the original HK I would love to update mine. The grey eyes are nice, regardless.

I weighs in at 1668 polys which is pretty good considering it's fully rendered, a version for koltor would have much less... this is untextured, what do you think?

Absolutely, the lightsaber is the main attraction to starwars for me! Well I'd better call it a night, I've textured the hilt, just need to add some lights and finish texturing the guts and add detail to the flat texture and maybe a control box and then of course texture that...

It looks like you used the color sceam of the Endar Spire :) or one of the Tatooine towers.
I hadn't thought of that. I wanted to use diffrent colors and this just felt like it would fit in.
