k either i deleted or something cuz they aren't appearing...any idea where to i guess re - get - them...
Run GTK setup again and choose "Repair".
k thx, although the samples where meant to find out how to get door sounds, but considering i couldn't find any func doors in there it makes it useless,
i tried using the key sounds value sounds/movers/doors/wtvr.mp3
no luck then soundset impdoor1 (i think) ---> i couldn't even the open the map after compiling (only meta tho) there was an error something like ....1 error soundset (not sure exactly what it said)
then i tried the key soundstart /move/stop and the value sound/movers/doors/doorstart1.wav etc etc in conclusion no luck, so how do you get sounds for doors, and when using an elevator whats the key to make the elevator have sounds when it is moving (func_plat)
A key soundset and a proper value is the way to do it. If it doesn't seem to work, check that the sound files for the selected soundset really exist. If they do, there is something else wrong with your door entity or the map in general.
hmm
k well this might be kinda newbish, but where are the sound files for soundset, as in are they part of the sound/mover/doors directory or......
Yeah, when you open the base/sounds/sound.txt file, you will see all the paths to the sound files used. Just find the soundset you are interested in, and check that the sound files are where they are supposed to be, if they indeed are anywhere, because there are many soundsets with no sounds, and those are obviously a dead end.
Of course it's often more convenient to do it the other way around: First listen to the sound files, and when you find a nice one, go to the sound.txt, and find the soundset(s) that is using it.
oo thx dude i got it to work... would it be possible to create your own soundset by lets say adding a text to the sound file
