Ford Dye has a new web site complete with a forum of which he monitors and welcomes your visits and questions. For those of you who don't know who Ford Dye is, he's a Map/Level designer for Raven software, and designed some of the maps for Jedi Academy.

Here's the links:

Home page: (still under construction) but you'll noticed he posted the interview we did with him for www.map-review.ravencommunity.net)

He's just posted some major documentation for JA in his forum. Among them Siege and Bot Route documentation which wasn't included in the new tool set.

The bot routing information is the same as the JO bot routing tutorial that was included with the JO editing tools...so, my bot routing tutorial (http://wso.williams.edu/~jshoer/botroute.htm) shoudl therefore be applicable to JA as well.

JA was Ford's first project with Raven and before that he was an amateur level designer, is that right?

Anyway, nice site from a man who knows his stuff :)

Yes, before he went to Ravensoft, he made mainly Quake3 maps...but you can see why he was hired if you look at some of them because they are amazing! I've been asking him to convert some of them to JA of which he said hes already in the process of doing that as well as getting ready to release a few that he made specifcally for JA!

Just to reiterate, if you're having problems with the new GTK or just want to know how to do some thing, go here: http://levelforge.teamhuh.com/forgeLink/index.php)

and get the answer "straight from the horses mouth" so to speak :) as the forum admins are Ravensoft designers and can answer your questions.
