I'm sitting on the fence here. I think I'd lean more towards Knight, but right now the Consular is so sketchy I'm not sure. I mean I remember KOTOR and being a Consular meant that I was severely handicapped on the final boss and was reduced to hack a...  [Read More]
Tarkin did a lot of backroom wheeling and dealing...so...possibly goes to personality type... Zam had a sniper rifle and nonconventional killing methods...so...possibly goes to methods... However they do need to wookiepedia once in a while. Imperia...  [Read More]

The latest developer diary (http://www.swtor.com/news/blog/20091106_001) got me thinking. But the path of uncompromising virtue is a hard road. Take the whole “Jedi must avoid emotional attachments” thing. Love, romance – the Council has decr...  [Read More]

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm novel was just announced for August 2010. This could get interesting. SWTOR coming our right as WoW Cataclysm hits to rejuvenate the old stuff in the game...competition....  [Read More]

Interesting. This should be a little heads up on an estimated release date. Doubt they'd release a novel on it too far in advance of the game release. Maybe a month or two at most because the main thing that's going to be selling that novel is people...  [Read More]

Quote from Darth Hater on last two classes (Sith Inquisitor and Jedi Consular): We talked a lot today about being able to customize your classes in a number of different directions. When you think of Sith Inquisitor, you’re thinking about how w...  [Read More]

I thought about a combat medic type thing and then I thought why waste it? The bioware guys said they want epic. Well as much as I enjoy playing a healer in other MMOs, it's not my idea of epic. Plus they're leaving them for last...so they must be fa...  [Read More]

I hope they don't make it too small and limited. They named a few zones already Senate District, Spaceport area, lower, Black Sun, and sewers...so 5ish. That's fewer zones than in an expansion for WoW. I'm hoping they have much more than that. I real...  [Read More]

That's quite a quote storm PastramiX. The gameplay we have seen is one segment of a quest chain here, another segment there. They've shown us only one decision point period. How do we know there arn't decision points for diplomacy, extortion, etc? B...  [Read More]

How does this look worse than KOTOR? It has bigger, more expansive environments that look incredible. Just look at Coruscant. KOTOR did a good job of capturing a planet like feel, but at the same time it was very linear in how to navigate the world....  [Read More]

Look I understand that KOTOR and KOTORII were great games. I spent a lot of hours in those games. Thing is, I was spending that time by myself. I couldn't spend that time with my wife, with my friends, etc. So you end up dropping time playing your c...  [Read More]

If there's cheaters talk to GMs. They watch, they know the common hacks and they'll investigate your claim. If they're hacking, they'll get nailed. If not, don't worry about it. The "HACKER!" accusation is getting really old. Where ever th...  [Read More]

Dunno. Don't care as much about PvP after WoW. It got boring like Rogue said. I had more fun with Instances and random quests. But I did enjoy PvP in SWG. My guild would walk overt as Rebels into the Tyrena cantina and set up shop. Didn't take long...  [Read More]

I think I'm in it to win it. I've been craving a new SW experience for a while and since I sunk a few years into SWG this is all very nostalgic to me. I'll make the jump on day one. It'll be tough to hold off on a new Azeroth if they end up coming...  [Read More]

So what do you guys think about the recent WoW: Cataclysm announcement. Seems like it's going to be timed around the theoretical release of SW:TOR. Several WoW players I've talked to recently who were giving SW:TOR a hard look are now yo-yoing back...  [Read More]

I am guessing that was fixed for the demo, none of the characters they showed through the demo took hardly any damage and I am guessing you'll have to be a bit more careful in the actual game. I'm sure. The dev mentions the Death from Above move bei...  [Read More]
