Any Release Date Or Info Updates?
not to seem impatient but I'm dying here! could you just post a single screen of the original jerec (not ctf/team colored) from a front view? sorry if you have already posted one earlier but even that i would consider an update and will hold me for a few more weeks.

edit: oh and if anyone was wondering where ive been, let me explain. i usually get bored when doing the same thing over and over, at first it was mapping, now its modeling. to keep myself entertained ive been playing the new Half-Life mod Natural Selection (fun stuff)
i might start modeling again or i might not ever again. but one thing is for certain, i will finish anything ive started.

He said the file was too big for his hotmail account, so he needed to transfer it to another computer or something along those lines(I don't exactly know the technicalities of it). Basically, he'll get to it when he gets to it.
I have received word from Madjai that Jerec has been sent off to jk2files.com, so keep your eye out for it for whenever they update.
Coolness :) If you have the zip file inbred, shoot it over to me and I'll post it asap. I'll give you some front page pimpage as well :D

Hellfire, I'm sorry your mod wasn't posted yet. I'm a Filemaster and a News poster here and frankly I have been way too busy to upload anything in the last week. Life has been very busy and I'm juggleing like 8 different projects at the moment. The problem is that we still do not have enough staff
Tonight I'm going to try and catch up a little on the backlog but I should mention that with the exception of a handfull of files posted by other people I've had almost no help uploading what so ever.
How hard is it exactly, just to upload files?! There hasnt been a file update in about 2 days! :eek:

jk2files.com has a BUNCH of new filemasters and i submitted gir model to jk2files.com and they didnt put it up *NOTE* 2 weeks ago =/
Jk2files.com is as slow as hell jkii.net is slow becuz not many people visit it becuz last some knew it was unable to download from....
Flanders, It's not difficult to upload files, I have a rediclously high upload speed. The thing is it's not just about uploading the files to the site. Everything has to be inspected and tested. After that I routienely have to crop photos, write discriptions, add links, and type directory paths. It's not very hard to do but it's very time consumeing.
Hellfire, you've been around for a while so I know your a good guy who's just a little frustrated :) I'm going to try and catch up as much as I can tonight, it's just that I'm the only one who's been uploading things recently with a few exceptions
Anyway, sorry about all this O/T stuff, it's good to talk about it though :)
Well I don't mind when it gets released because my Graphics Card is absolutely lost it, and until I get a new one I can't download Jerec or play Jedi Outcast, Damn. First the Dark Forces Demo, The Jedi pack and now Jerec this sucks oh well tell me how good they are when you play them.

That is pretty ridiculous. I hate it when clans expect sites to host huge files when the stuff is basically for their clan's personal use. If your clan is really that important, use your own website!! It looks like Omni has wasted about 200 mb of jk2files.com's web space just by repackaging files into zips for their convenience.

Isn't there anyone here who has a ftp server with unlimited traffic? We could throw together a small site with just the best models linked, so it's not too much work to upload them and we don't have to wait so long when a model is finished.

ISP webspace normally has unlimited bandwidth, but limited space. I believe my ISP space is 55MB.

I threw something together that may solve the problem.
It's the work of some minutes, so it can be improved ;) , but this was just to show what I mean.
I think a table with a preview, author and download link would be enough for the model files.

I'm sure Madjai sent it in, I'm just guessing it was accidentally deleted or ignored by jk2files.com. There's absolutely no reason he would have to lie to me, since he's put a ton of work into this model too. Unfortunately that was the only place he sent it, but I've sent a couple emails to him asking him to email it to me. Hopefully we can get it out there tonight.

I wasn't too excited about this model at first. Until i finally played JK1. I just finished it last week.
Now i have to say that you did excellent work. I'm really impressed how you managed to capture the likeness of Jerec from the cutscenes in that game. He really does look like the actor playing Jerec.
