I'm thinking of connecting two PCs peer-to-peer with a couple of NICs so that I can play some Star Wars games multiplayer. I've heard this is a better idea than using a null modem cable. I'd like to play multiplayer with my 10-year old stepdaughter. Are there any SW games that are actually fun with just two players?

I've never played anything multiplayer before (I connect to the Internet at 24K baud) but from what I've heard on the net, the games take away the enemies and all the players just bash and frag each other. Can someone recommed a good SW game for my scenario? Can someone describe to me what Jedi Knight would be like with two players before I make the hardware investment?

Any info greatly appreciated.

can't do it, it has to be a pier-to-pier connection http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

That's what I intend to do, peer-to-peer using two nics with a crossover cable and no hub.

Well, one on one deathmatch in JK/MOTS isn't much fun unless you are both really good.

However, you can play Coop together on those special coop levels (like Theft on Nar Shaddaa and ChaosFor2, find them at massassi.net (http://massassi.net) ).

Otherwise, probably the only thing that I would consider fun in JK/MOTS with only two people would be a saber duel or five. ; )
