Im confused as to what you are trying to acheive.
by "modes" i think he meant "models".he is trying to combine two skins from two different models and mix them.
Go to the skinnng and modeling tutorials....check out the recent tutorials by Varsity Puppet on...making heads, and meshing bodies.
