Would you mind posting how you did it (even to say you found a page about it)?

I followed the same directions as a post regarding a new registry file. I merely edited some parts of the .reg file, and added the keys to the registry. The instructions are below:

1. Copy/Paste the [entire] contents of your xwing 95 CDROM to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\XWINGCD

2. Open up notepad, copy and paste the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\X-Wing]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\X-Wing\v1.0]
"Executable"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\xwingcd\\xwing95.EXE"
"Install Path"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Xwingcd
"Source Path"="D:"
"CD Path"="D:"
"Analyze Path"="D:\\INSTALL\\SysCheck.exe"
"Version"="2.0"
"SoundCard"="TRUE"
"InstallType"=dword:00000009
"MAGIC"=dword:00091000
"JoystickID"="1"

3. Save as <all files>, with .reg after a name of your choosing. double click this file, and add to the registry.

4. Run the file C:\Program Files (x86)\xwingcd\xwing95.exe

5. Enjoy :)

It's essentially the same as fixing XWA.
