Haven't been on the forums in so long, I might as well give a projection after March next week instead of doing one after February now. I recently procured new bracket software which allows me to do different things, not only with brackets, but it c...  [Read More]

I usually post a posting pace update at the end of a month in these threads, so I'm overdue...we had a pace of 2,556 posts for the year at the start of it. It's been usually around 1,500 for the year in the old threads, so you can bet the larger numb...  [Read More]

I love my bowling software/web "toys", and I have a new one, some bracket software, that I played with for real for the first time Monday night. Only thing I don't like about it is that the pairing list isn't available past Game 1, but the...  [Read More]

I only post to these occasionally, for the LF'ers here who are not XWA'ers. I'm the bowler of the group, and, although I'm only a composite 167 average right now, I've had my moments in the past, with three 700 series and one really close approach to...  [Read More]

With the re-releases of X-Wing and TIE Fighter, this would be a good time for me to remind users that we also take questions about all of the games in the series (not just X-Wing Alliance) on XWingAlliance.net (http://lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php...  [Read More]

I was actually able to run brackets for the big Monday night league here last night...$3 each, ran ten of them, and was able to take one entry out of each as my fee. Do the math. :)...  [Read More]
Forgot the first projection, but I had a valid excuse: Between my big sister's b-day and a short tournament at my bowling alley, I wasn't home much of the day on Saturday. Projected year-end posts after January: 2,100 On a 2K+ pace even after the d...  [Read More]

From what I can tell, we lost about three days' worth of potential posts, which is going to skew the first year-end projection later (but we were doing rather well out of the gate, so...) Just to put it on record here, I went 178-214-213 for a 605 t...  [Read More]
Got rid of the now-defunct link in my signature, but kept the helmet art image...I kind of grew attached to it. I may link Red Squadron again in the future, just am not sure how I want to do it right now (but, then again, w/ the spambots roaming all...  [Read More]

I think the problem is actually that the installer is not a full 32-bit installer, but loads 16-bit code first. 64-bit Windows removed support for 16-bit code, so that's why you're getting the error. MSI installer packages (for use with Windows Insta...  [Read More]

Found this: http://sethioz.com/mediawiki/index.php5/Installing_PPJoy_on_Windows_7_%28Win7_/_Win_7%29 Apparently, you need to force driver signing off, as well, in order to install it on Win7....  [Read More]

Jurgen, if you had to boot in Safe Mode, that means you only have generic graphics support, not the drivers needed for 3D games. I'd just get a stick...USB sticks, which should work on your laptop's USB ports, should be supported....  [Read More]

I remember playing the DOS version with mouse rather than joystick, as it was much more accurate to kill those pesky small mines. It was a great disappointment to find the 95 version (and XvsT) didn't allow the use of a mouse. Stryker, former Rogu...  [Read More]
