All it is is a modder showing that he/she has gotten the cockpits back into battlefront II on a mod map that he/she made. Sorry Rends, it's just that I honestly don't know your gender.

BF2 is quite fun on the Computer, though I've never played it on PS2.

XBOX version annoys me. D: </3 Controls.

Plus, Computer has mods.

Nice job.

Not that I'm saying your mods suck (they are way better than what I can make right now), but if you think these are great, just wait till the larger organizations such as battleforthegalaxy.com release their maps and mods.

Nice. Now how about porting the cockpit views so they work with *any* SWBF2 map?

Or did you just put them in for that one vehicle? Just curious...

We are working to get the cockpit views back for ALL vehicles in ALL maps.

So what does this mean?
Lot of cockpit from SWBf1 can be converted and some needs to model from scratch (for the new vehicles from SWBF2)

Next we need either a Patch software to incorporate the cockpits and mods into the game side folder or we need to replace the current side folder with a new one. While a patch would be small in size a replacement will take about 300MB.
Iґm not sure if we can get a Patch working (what i would prefer) so it might be the case that we need to do the big thingy ( the 300MB Side replacements)

Will battleforthegalaxy.com actualy mod SWBF2? Iґve never heard of them before and i canґt remember any map from them for SWBF1. But i appreciate more modders for Battlefront :-)
Oh and i want to mention that i had lot of support from my Gametoast mates while creating Coruscant! So it wasnґt a one man show ;-)

Actually, that the speeder Anakin and Obi-Wan used in Episode II to chase after Zam Wesell, so it's just there as a movie tie-in, right?

From what I remember about the BF1 version of this map, it has weapons.

PS: shouldn't this be in the modding and editing forum?

Yes, but through modding, meaning it should be in the modding and editing forum. But then again, this forum is more mainstream, if you know what I mean.

PS: when will we be able to download the BF2 version of that map?

It's fine here Alkonium, this was worthy of the eyes of the non-mod forum posters.

I wonder if any file size could be saved by simply making a program that would suck the needed resources off your SWBF1 cd(s) or installation and convert it to SWBF2?

After all, I'm sure fewer people would be willing (and it might piss of LucasArts) to have to practically download the entire first game in order to get the stuff into part 2...

Just a thought! And anything missing would be the mods you'd download. Anyway, just a suggestion. An application that does the converting for you that you download might be a worthwhile effort and could appease the bigwigs...

battleforthegalaxy.com is actively modding SWBF2. Its a new tournment that wasn't around for SWBF.

The level files are compressed and stored in non-standard formatted cab files on the game disk. I don't think anyone will be writting a program to extract them from SWBF's install disks then convert it to SWBF2 maps. We will most likely have to download a large map file.
