here are some shots of my latest work: konoko from oni. i took quite some time, but i like it.
it's based on the ojiko matahachi model by ronin triad. first, i thought i would be able to surf off the ponytail and started, but now it doesn't work, and i don't want to change the model...looks not bad after all i think:

Have you checked out this site (

thx. in other words, you don't like it, eh?
Looks great! I especially like the anime look of the face, it has a nice... something to it, can't think of a word :p
thanks a lot. took some time, though, too!
as soon as ronin answers, i'm going to release it (or not :-(
No, I wasn`t trying to "blow it out the water", I actually quite liked it. It was a reference I thought you or others reading the thread my find useful in future skinning projects.
Sorry if I sounded negative, keep it up
You should be able to use an alpha shader to get rid of that pony tail...it will still be rendered by the game engine, it will just be invisible.
thanks for this idea!!
would be helpful, if you could tell me exactly how to do something like that. coz i don't know how to "make the program put the shader on the part of the skin-image i want", if you understand what i'm trying to say!
