Any chance of seeing a graphical redesign of Scummbar.com remi? I like the forum title alot and I think scummbar.com would look great if it were done in a similar way with a sort of ye oldй painting look.

Well, despite your Mojo comment (¬ ¬) we've gotten plenty of good feedback on the current design (yarr (http://www.scummbar.com/index.php?todo=readcomments&id=264), darr (http://www.mixnmojo.com/php/news/showfile.php?category=mojonews&id=560)). However, a skin is always a possibility, though it would be with different graphics. Whaddaya say Dan? You don't have anything to do, do you? You come when we call?

Yes mojo comment hee (¬¬;;; damm he saw it)

In my opinion even the previous design was better, and I definately think beefing it up with some nice mi based interface artwork would rule.

You have my sympathies anyway remi, im sure it cant be easy maintaining scummbar due to the fact there is not much mi news floating about.

Yes My Master :vadar:

I mean... no! I love the current Scummbar design so much and I would never see it change! Never!!!

The current layout uses some nice ideas, but I personally think that it needs some alternations in order to reach perfection.

Firstly, I reckon a banner is needed. At the moment we practically have no banner at all, just a little icon thingy on the side. I understand you're going for the compact look (I hope) but I think a banner is completely necessary to make a website.

I also think the fonts need a bit more work. They'd look so much better if they didn't have ugly underlines (the red shows that it's a link so no underline is necessary).

:D Otherwise it be beautiful. And yes, a Dan header would surely be r0x.

Base links should always be underlined. I could go on a long tirade about the lack understanding of putting functionality first, but I believe I have done that enough already in earlier posts. ¬ ¬

I'm not too sure they should always be underlined. Having them a different colour to the rest of the text is enough for most people to understand, and sites such as MixnMojo do it without the underline nicely.

And yes, I agree on functionality coming first, however you've already got the functionality so there's nothing wrong with making it look even better too without compromising the function. :D

But of course it's your ship and you may do with it whatever you please! :P

There are certain rules that should be followed when designing standarized interfaces, and as for linking check out http://www.microsoft.com/), http://java.sun.com/), http://www.oracle.com/) - removing underlines in the main text area is a bad habit and there's a reason why sites like these avoid doing it.

As for making it pertier, that's of course always on the list, but not something we have any reason to hurry along right now.
