Hey there, i've just gotten back into SCUMM gaming after a while (playing them mainly on the GP32) and i had a thought...
How easy would it be to hack MI and MI2 and make them into talkies? (putting aside the obvious time and effort needed to record all the voices)
I just think it'd be a fun fan project.

Thump me if you think i'm just rambling

Well some HEAVY hacking to ScummVM ought to do the job (search for text line, play wav file ;) )

Well, I think it would be fun - but it would only ruin the classics...
In case, if you distrubate it afterwards - then it's illigal.

If you could distribute it as a patch, I suppose it wouldn't be illegal.

Well... In one way it could... Abandonware exist... and it's easy for them to patch the illigal version, since they have all the files which was on the CD/Floppy.

Hehe... Anyway... If there should be talkies, then LEC must be the one to do it! :D

Not that I care though...
