Last thing I heard the US weren't going to recognize the jurisdiction of the new, permanent Warcrimes Tribunal.

Personally, I find it rather silly, but what do you think?

I may flesh this out when I'm less absent minded...

As a U.S. citizen I am embarrassed and apalled that we (US) will not agree to an international standard of justice. The Bush administration wants US citizens & soldiers to be exempt from war crimes. Why? We are no different than anybody else.

I read one of the reasons is so many US soldiers and civillan workers in Bosnia have committed crimes there it would take an International tribunal years to hear all the cases.

Now they aren't killing and digging mass graves, but they are running blackmarket scams and U.S. employees of Wacenhut security ( a private U.S. buisness getting rich running prisons and jails in Bosnia for the U.S. goverment) have been pimping teenage Bosnian girls into prostitution.

I hate my goverment.
