I'll most likely start on Corellia some where or Naboo if I have to go with my second choice. Since I'll be starting two weeks after most people some places might be filled up before I get a chance. Sucks I have to wait for it to get shipped here...damn military mail is so damn slow. Oh and also just FYI I'll only be playing for about two month then I'll have to be gone for a month or two while I transfer. Have to wait for household goods to ship my stuff to my next station and they are even slower then the mail. I hope this doesn't cause any problems or get me in a bad standing with you guys because I'll do my best to give what I can to the PA. Hm...yeah...thats it I guess. Off to work now.

Heh, should do what I did when I transferred from Germany back home. Kept my computer until the day before I left, and mailed it. Only cost like 70 bucks, insured...and was there when I got home.

I was actually thinking about that but I'll be taking leave for a month probably before heading to my next duty station anyway so that would still keep me from playing for a month. Although I might not take leave and only be gone two weeks if I mail it. So I guess we'll see. Have to turn in my TIS in a few weeks so I'll know whats going on then I guess.

Dunno, way back when, we were talking about having the PA based on Corellia, but not operating in Corellia exclusively. I'm still considering starting on Corellia. The real issue here is how much interstellar transportation will cost, and how long it will take. If it is cheap and quick, then it really doesn't matter that much where we begin. But if you have to save up money for quite a while to go somewhere, then it can get messy if we have regular meetings. Not having the cash to attend to PA activities sucks. Badly.

thats what forums are for...we dont have to have meetings in the game itself, right?

No, but Set don't work like that. :)

Going to a forum is easier, but breakes the roleplaying aspect of the game.
But I think we should use forums, atleast on the more vital things.

By the way, Set. Are you gonna authorize me soon or what? :D

Mos Eisley Tatooine all the way! We should use the forums only when we want to get everyone's attention. if we wanted to get everyone's attention in-game, we would have to post an event on the city calendar 9if there is such a thing). using the forums is easier.

I work in mysterious ways. And well, for your lack of authorization, I blame the fact that I haven't had access to a computer with ICQ since september. Chat cold turkey, so to say. Hopefully I will be up and running this week, my new friend in life is a 120gig hdd waiting for its maiden ride. And since I recently flushed my bfriend, yes, I can even squeeze some room in for you, Gaarni! ;P

As I see it, the forum is mostly for OOC PA meetings, while ingame meetings hopefully will be mostly IC meetings. That's the way I see it. What's your idea, should the forum be IC too, or ingame be OOC, or do you agree with my views?

Heh. That sounded awfully much like a poll, something that seems to have infested this forum lately :)

Waaaaaay back, the goal of =A= was;

Helping eachother out
Having fun
Creating a city

How can goals 1 and 3 be achieved easily if we are all scattered all over the place? I'm not saying that everyone should be forced to live on Corellia, ofcourse not.

Maybe a new discussion about our goals and how they can be achieved is needed....

This is just where we're going to start though. I think everyone plans to move to Corellia within a few weeks.

After all, why does everyone has to live on the same planet just because we build a city there? I could live with my city on another planet as long as the travel there is not too much of a fuss.

Agreed, if travel is not very expensive, we can leave the 1 planet thing.

The city has to be built somewhere though, but that can be decided when we all have played the game for some time IMO.

Yes, it is foolish to decide a location before we have explored the game some. Perhaps one player will find a perfect spot somewhere we'd never expect? Keep your eyes sharp, everyone!
