Just so everyone knows, the rules posted here (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64362) are still in effect...spamming restrictions will be more heavily enforced, as will most of the other rules.

Posts with no purpose will be deleted instead of locked, and legitimate threads posted in the wrong forum will be moved to the appropriate place without a redirect.

Just to drive a few points home:

This forum is for serious discussion and debate only. This forum is undergoing a trial period of sorts to see how things work out. We're under the impression that the Swamp is not necessarily always conducive to serious discussion, so perhaps a separate forum will make a difference.

As Matt said, rules will be enforced to a stricter degree. Spam will not be tolerated and will be deleted on the spot. If you flame for another person's beliefs, you will be lucky if you're warned before you're spanked. Just be civil and respect other people's opinions, and we'll be fine. :)

About the types of topics. Abercrombie & Fitch vs. Old Navy and PS2 vs. Xbox are not the sort of topics we have in mind. Rather, we're looking for some more topics of a nature that may be too sensitive to be reasonably discussed in the Swamp. Abortion, gun-control, religion, foreign policy/politics, etc. all all be fair game here, and as far as I know, will be moved here if created in the Swamp. It also may be wise to include some substance in your initial post to get the ball rolling. For example, "what is your opinion on North Korea's nuclear arms program" is not as conducive to discussion as a post including your opinion and perhaps a news article to bring people up to date on the situation.

I think that's about it for now. Have fun. This forum should be very interesting.
