According to 'Thorsten', who posted 8 development sketches by Milton Knight at Animation HQ (http://animationhq.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=9&t=1030), Day Of the Dead was being developed as a feature by Warner Bros Feature Animation in 1995 but never got the greenlight. Though I cannot confirm this, it turns out that this project is now an animated short film nearing completion after a year delay: DMfx (http://www.digitalmediafx.com/News2001/August/081901.html) commented in August 2001 that Day Of the Dead would be done via CGI, and follow the humorous day-to-day adventures of dead souls as they struggle to get through the Afterlife. You can keep an eye on the movie's progression via its official site (http://www.dayoffthedead.com/index2.html).

So how's that for weird news, eh? I can tell you this now, it would kind of stuff up any originality in the Tierra story if it did come out! But it's caught me by surprise, it's the first I've heard of it.

Wierd. But, remember Tierra was originally a spoof sort of thing of Grimfandango, and it was never really that linked. Anyhoo, we all know that this was first version.

since lucasarts did not invent mexican folklore
or aztec, mayan, art deco, or film noir; and since
you were parodying the game we all love to play,
I don't think it matters. I think calaveras are cool;
and can't wait to see this flick. I will download the
trailers later tonight when I also listen to
part 9 of Lost Cause.
On the contrary i thank you for posting news
of this film as I had no idea such a project was even
under production. I think it's cool that someone
is making such a film, because it will give all those
fundamentalist right wing christian groups something
new and 'satanic' to point their pointy heads at.;)

how's Life or Death? how's school? how's the weather?
and are you being a good boy cause Santa is on his way.

*lucasarts should have holiday emodicons such as
:santa: maybe they do; if I get a Santa then:D
if not perhaps a mod or an administrator
could sugguest it to who ever makes them.

And there can be no doubt that Tierra will be much better than this production of pure, unspeakable evil.

I've heard of this film and saw the trailer on the Animation Master website - www.hash.com) - and I thought it looked wierd.

I knew about this beacuse even though I am only 11 ( :D :D :D ) I have a real animation software (Animation Master) that cost me Ј200.
