.lab files

can you get at the files contained within these .lab files....

i would quite liek to be able to get at the movies....

or is the format only able to be read by the game engine itself and not a windows app?

any suggestions appreciated

You can get to the music and certain visuals in grim fandango by using SCUMM Revisited. Get it here: http://scumm.mixnmojo.com/programs/scummrev.zip)

You'll need SCUMM Revisited pre Alpha (a later version)if you want to get to the background art. However I dont think the pre alpha version lets you get to the music and stuff so you'll need to alternate between the two versions depending on what files you want to view/extract from the .lab/.mus files. Get pre alpha here: http://scumm.mixnmojo.com/programs/scummrev3.zip)

You currently cant view cutsceens from the game although you'll have to check the pre alpha version.....im pretty sure you cant get to them yet.

yes I believe at scumm
they are talking version 3
which will allow more delving
into graphics and such,
a great program,
www.hyperionics.com)
has product called hypercam
it allows you to record video
off your screen so you could
play the game and get the cutsceens
that way.
