I recently bought GF cause i never played it. I am at the second year and i can't pull the metal detector out of the kitty liter. When i use the syth he just shakes it around and nothiing happens. I even went back to a earlier save and tryed again. still no luck. If anyone can get me a save game right after they got the metal detector i would be very thankful.

offer walkthroughs
there is also the Prima guide for GF
and there is a forum for asking for help
it is down at bottom of main forum page
I am sure some one who has played game
might help you out, but even if they
give you the clue actually solve
the puzzle, do not by pass it because
sometimes not getting one puzzle
leads to insight when you get stuck
later on, plus if you by pass you
miss snappy patter or funny sceens.
take a day or two relax and try again

Your missing the point. I am doing what the faqs and walkthroughs tell to do. They all say the same thing use syth with litter and you will get the metal detector. but when i do it nothing happens. its either a bug or everyone was wrong on how to get it. (and yes i allready got the women to throw it out the window)

You have to stand on the platform that stretches out over the giant litter box. There are 2 "hotspots" on the catwalk that Manny will turn his head to look at. Try them both, and you will have your metal detector.
