I go to a server and it makes me dl assets2.pk3

When I do so, it just sits there doing nothing. I open console and it gives me an error:

"user interface is version 7, expected 6"

I was thinking that I have the wrong version of the game or something? Single player works fine, and it's not until I dl assets2.pk3 that I get the error. If I turn in-game downloads off, I load everything fine then right before I get into the game it brings up and error that says: "server disconnected"

Geforce 2 MMZ
384 mb ram
