I looked up his profile and searched for his posts, but they were already deleted by another mod (which is a good thing, of course). I banned him right away.

Do you think it was thrawn again? You should check they're IP adresses and see if they are the same, and if they are then you should bann the guys IP adress. (you can tell we had a lot of spammers and puppets at RS.net, they banned several people in the short time i was there)

Sorry, I didn't take the time to visit the Announcement forum after seeing the PMs from Kvan and darthfergie.
The IP address is very easy to change... with 56k it changes all the time (each time you connect) and with broadband, you just have to turn off your cable/DSL modem.

I must say I'm disgusted and sickened by stuff like that. People that post that on the internet have problems. People that go posting that wherever they please on the internet have SERIOUS problems. This is a SW board, and we have people of all ages here(so to speak). Who knows who could have seen that stuff. I cannot believe that there are people that go around posting that where young people(I'm not going to say 'kids', and by 'young people' I mean absolutly no offence) can see that. It goes to show you where society's going.
Even if banning the IP won't work, is there anything else you can do? We have to do something about that.

Great! Now you told him how to do it! oh well, banning their IP adress normally works (well, at RS.net at least). I know that it changes with 56k, but alot of people don't have 56k anymore, especially those that are on the internet often enough to be that sick.
Anyways, i know that there is some way not to let a certain pc on, maybe it was just IP adress but i thought there was something else too. Or you could simply put up a filter, does this board have one?
