Wait a minute, did they say EVERY civilization would have Jedi Knights? I have a bad feeling about this. . .
They may have human jedi's that help them out. Like ones that are sent to them by the Jedi Council for their defense. Still, a Gugan jedi would be an interesting unit.
In the Galactix Battlegrounds Preview #2 it said there are 3 levels of jedi: padawan, jedi knight, and jedi master. The gungans probably have just padawans or something, definetly not masters;)
Explain to me why there should be no big eared, lethery skined, fat assed Jedi Masters? :p
Yeah, why couldn't the Gungns have jedi masters?
Meesa gonna bring PEACE To da galaxee! Feew the wrath of meesa wightsaba. Sith lord? How wude!
Lets not get into Sith Gungan
Only the Trade Federation and the Empire will have Sith warriors instead of Jedi.
I don't see why Gungans shouldn't have Jedi Masters. They are not clumsy like Jar Jar. Imagine Captain Tarpals with Jedi Powers!
Captain Tarpals is cool anyway. I hope he'll be a hero character.
anyways, It just wouldn't be fair not to give them jedi masters, that would be totally unbalanced if they did that.
Gungans would make good jedi because they are in tune with nature.
Hmm, that's a good point. I never thought of that before.
But then why is the jedi coucil on Coruscant, where there is only metropolis?
Hey, if Gungans did have lightsabers would they have organically grown shells on them? That would be cool and it would give Gungan Jedi a whole new look. Just a thought.

Of course the JEdi Council has to be on coruscant, because coruscant is the center of the galactic republic. The Jedi if they want to help the galaxy have to have their council in the very heart of the galactic republic.
Well, Luke made his accademy on Yavin, not Coruscant, even though he had the same goals as the original Jedi Order.
Good point Tie Guy. It probably doesn't matter too much where a jedi temple is located, as long as its not as remote as Dagobah or Tattoeine.
The temple is very natural inside with gardens and fountans and all that stuff and I think Gungan Jedi Masters would be cool.
But if there are Gungan Jedi, they would have to go to the temple to be trained. Thats were Obi wan and Quigon were trained and they didn't know what a gungan was.
Sorry that I'm such a natural know-it-all, but maybe there weren't any Gungan Jedi during Qui-gonn or Obi-wan's lifetime. After all the Gungan campaign takes place before Episode one. And there are alot of species in the Galaxy, so what two people can keep track of them all?
Gungan Jedi. Wookie Jedi seems a bit weird to me. In any case never saw any in the different Star wars books.
But why not? Could be kind of cool
Greetings Wedge.
Good point, i heard that the gungans campaign was also partiallyafter the movies as well, so they could easily have gotten some after they were made known to the galaxy.
Also, who can keep track of all the Jedi studnets. There were so many students no one could keep track, not even yoda. Plus, Qui-Gon and Ob-Wan probably didn't visit the training facilities all that often, they were past that stage already.
Lowbacca, Chewbacca's nephew was being trained by Luke.
I don't see why Gungans wouldn't have Jedis, after all they have midichlorians, and The Force speaks through the Midichlorians. :D
That's true, doesn't every living thing have midichlorians. After all, "Without the midichlorians, life would not exist." --Gui-Gon
Everything except the Vong. If we're already speaking of these guys in an expansion, that would be a great idea.
Vongs without Jedi, and immune to Jedi conversion, though, they could be much weaker against other units. You know, the game's balance issues.
Yes, of course. But i don't know if making them weaker is the best way to balance them, since, if they were weak against blasters and stuff, they wouldn't really be vong,

Who's Gui-Gon?
Well it was just a thought, you can't make Vong strong against EVERYTHING.
Gui-Gon is Qui-Gon's brother, duh!
Compa, there are other handicaps besides decreasing power. An example is a greater cost, or a slower build time.
Oh silly me *giggles* :o :o ;)
It's okay, he's not very widely known. :D
That's true Tie, they could expensive and with slow creation times, such as The Byzantines in AoK
Yes, now that we've solved that pesky problem we can move on to another problem.
Any suggestions?
Lol!!! Now, that we've finished, let's move to the Mon Cal.
I think they could be as strong as Gunagns in Water, as a matter of fact, the only ones who could counter gungans effectively in water.
BTW, we should copy some of the posts about the Vong to the Developer's forum, maybe there, Gaber, will read 'em
and we could really have this cool expansion we're talking about.
I am not that good with matching names with faces.
jigga, the vong (full name: Yuuzhan Vong) are an alien species from out side the star wars galaxy. They appear in the New Jedi Order books (NJO series), the newest star wars book series to hit the shelves. The Vong are a warrior species, and they hate technology, they rely solly on biological things, which is pretty cool.

Good idea! :D
Everything, has a counter in every category. Even though it seems like it wouldn't make sense, the trade federation are going to be just as powerful as the Gungans in the water, or the other way around for air.
bottom line is:
every civ has strong point
every civ has counter to certain strong point
Lucas arts will balance it
we'll see how it actually PLAYS
I agree with Paragon_Leon it would be stupid if they unbalanced the Civs
not to mention unplayable.
it would be playable, but not nearly as much fun. the fun is in countering each other, learning strategies, relearning once someone figures out how to counter, etc.
and you never know how someone's going to play.
Actually, it would be unplayable, or at least unwinable if your opponent had a decisive atvantage over you.
unwinnable is the better term then. because you WOULD be playing it... :D
there's always a few civs that seem to have some tricks / unit-features that draws people to them in multiplayer-battles. AOK had Teutons like that.
I wouldn't know, but i've always liked the allies and NOD in C&C. Don't know why though, better units i guess.
