Hey-I'm very intrested in buying X-wing Alliance but do not have a joystick. What are some of the best you guys use for XWA??

Something with a built in rudder control (like Microsofts own range - the Sidewinders - Precision Pro or Force Feedback) are the best - they grant you much more control over your craft - being able to roll the craft mid turn without having to hold down Button 2 a la the originals was a god send.
Also, they have hat switches, which are handy for looking around the virtual cockpit, and 9 buttons - perfect for all those commands....

Actually, and you guys might not like this, but I prefer a controller than a flight stick for this game and Rogue Squadron. For the reason that I played both games with the Sidewinder and it was cool, don't get me wrong, but I liked using the Gravis Xterminator better. Just for the reason that the buttons were in an easier order. Of course, make up you own mind. Buy one and if you don't like it - return it.
