Level 2 is hard, I admit. I assume you are stuck at the end of the level in the large clearing where Jar Jar CAN get killed.
Advice: Run to the blaster cannon and use it by pressing space, then sweep those droids down!

No, you can't. What I suggest you do is type in the slow-motion cheat ('slowmo'), and that will give you more time to take out those droids.

I think you would have to restart the level, unless you have a saved game before you destroyed the cannon. Once you get there use the cannon to mow down those droids and then follow Jar Jar and you beat the level.
