I have never played Everquest, and I'm wondering if it's going to be some kind of pre-requisit for Galaxies.
The MM.. whatever, big multiplayer game genre sounds really big and impressive. Does anything compare to it?
I've played a lot of Diablo 2 and JK2, how close are they to what Galaxies will be? :sprobe:

Not even close. Imagine that you can walk in one direction. For a couple of hours. And never run into a border. Its very possible in most MMORPGs. They're that big.

Let me put it in another way:

Think of a BIIIG square that measures 16km on each sides.

That totals to a play area of 256km^2.

And that's just ONE planet. There are 8 so far. :D

Mmm... my guess, by what little the devs said yet, bountyhunting will be harder than running for that blue pillar.

You mean those computer created Nav bouyes you see in X-Wing: Alliance?

Those are for showing you from where you're supposed to engage into hyperdrive, DudE. :D

No, I guess he means the blue pillars that points you to your objectives when you receive (at least some) computer generated missions. Seen at one of the bootlegged E3 movies.

What about items and "leveling"?

It was pretty straightforward in Diablo.
