Could somebody tell me the cost of the a-wing, how long they take to produce, and if they have any useful tactics!?

I will be gutted if they are useless units.

they are air defense units, nothing more. I haven't really played as them, but I do know they have a bonus vs fighters and bombers

Surely with the introduction of air cruisers, air has become vitaly important (I can only imagine that fighters are the best way to defend against cruisers, this means fighter escorts, and defending with fighters). Perhaps the Rebels will really benefit from the a-wings in late t4, when nova is getting low, and the a wings start knocking out the enemy fighters.

I really want to know their cost, and if their production is faster than a normal fighter.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but early screenshots of Galactic Battlegrounds had A-Wings in them !! Why did they scrap them for the basic game ?

There are many units in the original game that could have been used, the a-wing is only one of many. Perhaps they thought it would upset the balance.

Although I haven't played as rebels yet in CC, the a-wings i fought were incredibly fragile, barely able to get one shot off. Their a little cheaper than fighters and could be pretty good en masse but for my money I'dgo with adv fighters or jedi starfighters any day. Alos jedi starfighters take out aircruisers the quickest more than twice as fast as a fighter.

Their armor is weak but thats not as bad as it could be. An advanced fighter can only take two blows 1 knocks out shields the next kncoks it out. A wings also take 2 shots one kncoks them down it like 3 HP but that dosen't matter thou sicne they still fire just as well. their about and even match against planes
but they die on mass to AA their weaker armor really hurts.

Their range is also long if you get an enemy to come to them their great they get 1 sometimes 2 shots without retun fire with fighters thats a HUGE advantage.

Overall their real edge is abilte to rapidly respone to or attack and area and get back out before enemy air can strike back. If they need to fight they can hang with the best of them.
