if Kotor is being set 5000 years before the current ( movie )time line then why are the classes so rigid?
the only literature ( official ) are comics, and in them classes were much more dynamic and not so enforced...for example you had force sensitive soldiers who werent jedi or sith...they just simply had fast reflexes and used conventional arms...then you had races like the madolorians ( i think thats the right spelling ) who gave the Fetts their battle armour...they were the best non jedi warriors around and they acted more like a cross between scoundrels and scouts with combat abilities...
plus when you think of the other rpg in development, NwN kotor seems a bit static...
could you make the classes a little more flexible, for example if you want jedi powers you have to chose a degree in which they go up or down but the off side is that you cant chose certain abilities otherwise you create a power character.
and you could have say a pool of common feats that every one could chose, the number relating to what basic class you chose...or am i just repeating out loud what you guys are already doin?

it's set 4000 years prior to the movies, 50 years after the Sith War....

and the game will very likely use the same rules as NWN...
