How do you write it? I've seen many books that spell it saber, and other material sabre. Which is correct, or are they both correct or what?

Lightsabre is the correct spelling. I think that Lightsaber is the European spelling.

In all the official LucasFilm merchandise I've seen, it's spelled Lightsabre. Most of that stuff is direct from the US.

Most people spell it like that, European or not. Anyway, who cares? Both are acceptable.

Sabre is the UK spelling and saber is the US spelling.

But...who cares!
