<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">I got you're message Tom, but your account didn't accept mine. Glad to see you're interested in getting Star War onto DVD.

Well, all we can do is bombard LucasFilm with letters and shout angry opinions to anyone who'll listen. Don't be shy about telling people that George Lucas is a prick. Surely there's no reason why we should have to wait six more years for that hypocrite to get his thumb out of his...ummm.... Well then.

Rumor is that we won't have to wait six years! Apparently, he's decided not to wait until Episode 3 is done, but he'll release it around Christmas next year. Rumor also has it that ILM are finishing deleted scenes with CGI for the DVD. Sounds cool.

<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">Yeah rumor has it. Rumor also has it that we'll have to wait at least six more years to see Episode 4,5,6 the way they're suppose to be seen- a full 29 years after ANH first came out and a over eight years after DVD first came out. George is so full of bull that it squirts out his ears.

<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">Oh come on Qui-Gon. Don't tell me you actually buy into that rubbish? If he can put out a regular old VHS version, then he can also put out a "regular old" DVD version and then give out the so called best version whenever it's ready. Despite what GL says, it does not take very long to convert a movie to DVD. Even a half rate DVD version would be 20 times better than VHS and everyone (except LucasFilm) knows it. That's why, I might add, Episode I is the only one of last year's summer movies that's not available on DVD.

He's holding back Ep.4,5,6, as well as the Indiana Jones movies, and aything else that has the LucasFilm name on it. And yet he touts himself as this great fan of digital technology and preaches about the importance of good sound and image quality so the custumer can have the best possible experience, etc. and instead he provides a half rate (even for VHS) version of a movie that may have the best visual effects of anything made to date, and at the moment no version of Ep.4,5,6. Just recently they rereleased the Indiana Jones movies "digitally remastered in THX for superior sound and image quality." Guess what? He refused to put them out on DVD, and instead put them on VHS where any audio or visual improvements are sure to go unnoticed. Just like Star Wars we have to wait for the last movie to come out on video before we get DVD because he wants to sell as many VHS copies as possible before he puts out the DVD so that people will buy each version. You buy the movie, then you buy the remastered version, then the special edition remastered version, then the DVD, then the DVD special edition, then the remastered DVD, then the remaster DVD special edition, then the ultra-special mega-remasterered version, etc. This is not a man interested in quality, it's a man interested in $$$ and I'm getting tired of it.

<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">Yeah I heard. I think it's largely because of the public outcry that GL changed his mind. A DVD release is probably still over a year away though. My guess is Christmas 2001.
