<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">Oh come on Qui-Gon. Don't tell me you actually buy into that rubbish? If he can put out a regular old VHS version, then he can also put out a "regular old" DVD version and then give out the so called best version whenever it's ready. Despite what GL says, it does not take very long to convert a movie to DVD. Even a half rate DVD version would be 20 times better than VHS and everyone (except LucasFilm) knows it. That's why, I might add, Episode I is the only one of last year's summer movies that's not available on DVD.
He's holding back Ep.4,5,6, as well as the Indiana Jones movies, and aything else that has the LucasFilm name on it. And yet he touts himself as this great fan of digital technology and preaches about the importance of good sound and image quality so the custumer can have the best possible experience, etc. and instead he provides a half rate (even for VHS) version of a movie that may have the best visual effects of anything made to date, and at the moment no version of Ep.4,5,6. Just recently they rereleased the Indiana Jones movies "digitally remastered in THX for superior sound and image quality." Guess what? He refused to put them out on DVD, and instead put them on VHS where any audio or visual improvements are sure to go unnoticed. Just like Star Wars we have to wait for the last movie to come out on video before we get DVD because he wants to sell as many VHS copies as possible before he puts out the DVD so that people will buy each version. You buy the movie, then you buy the remastered version, then the special edition remastered version, then the DVD, then the DVD special edition, then the remastered DVD, then the remaster DVD special edition, then the ultra-special mega-remasterered version, etc. This is not a man interested in quality, it's a man interested in $$$ and I'm getting tired of it.
