Anyone seen this before?

----- FS_Startup -----
ERROR: filename length > MAX_QPATH ( strlen(Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast/GameData/base/levelshots/) = 78)

All of a sudden I get that error message now.

I've got the same problem with SP... I don't know the solution, I even tried to uninstall and re-install it. :(

Here's the mail I got from support:

Date 13 May 2002

Further to your correspondence of 12 May 2002

Thank you for contacting us - I am sorry you are having the error message. It is not familiar to me and as you confirm, it may well be due to the demo you installed. When you mentioned the demo, could you please let me know if this means the game demo? I ask this because demos can also mean the recorded gameplay which is a feature of the Quake III engined games. In either case I think the best way forward would be to uninstall the demo, then the game and then reinstall it, then re-patch.

Please let us know if this helps you.

By the way my sp works again. Thank goodness I made a complete backup before I patched the game.

Thanks teleguy,

Yep, you have to remove reactor.pk3 from the base directory. That will fix it.
