Here's the error I get:
JK2: v1.03 win-x86 May 3 2002
Initialising zone memory .....
----- FS_Startup -----
ERROR: filename length > MAX_QPATH ( strlen(Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast/GameData/base/levelshots/) = 78)

I thought it was the executor SP level I installed after I saw that the new release fixed a launch problem... but I deleted the file and I still get the same error. Anyone know what could be wrong?

I have the same problem. I think it's the patch.

Not that I know of, I don't think it's the patch, I've been playing the patch since the day it came out and that has worked okay

Yes its not the patch. I remember now that I played once after I installed the patch.

Here's the mail I got from support:

Date 13 May 2002

Further to your correspondence of 12 May 2002

Thank you for contacting us - I am sorry you are having the error message. It is not familiar to me and as you confirm, it may well be due to the demo you installed. When you mentioned the demo, could you please let me know if this means the game demo? I ask this because demos can also mean the recorded gameplay which is a feature of the Quake III engined games. In either case I think the best way forward would be to uninstall the demo, then the game and then reinstall it, then re-patch.

Please let us know if this helps you.

By the way my sp works again. Thank goodness I made a complete backup before I patched the game.
