I was wwondering if while your on some of these mission are their possibly gonna be space pirates that will come sweeping down and attack your ships and base. like maybe the black sunners???
I don't think so, that would get really, REALLY annoying after a while. There are like rancors and krayt dragons that might attack your workers and maybe units too, but no black sunners i don't think.
Sound's cool but tie is right.
HOW DO YOU GET AN AVATAR!!!!!!!!
otoh the space pirates there gonna eat me
PS i posted how to get an avatar in another post where u asked
Some non-animal nuetrial units will probably attack you without provacation as well as predators/carnivours.
Black Sun should be a faction in the x-pack (or the Falleen), pirates would be really disturbing.
Black Sun would be a cool civ or the hutts with slaves as villagers, gamorreans as troops, and so on.
Chiss all the way!!! :thrawn2:
Yeah Black Sun might work but the Chiss?! Nah! ;)
What if you could spend a bunch of resources to "hire" pirates or marauders to attack an opponents for a few passes?

I like that Idea...
It has been done before in other games...
You would pay a cetain amount of money at your fortress...It would take a while to build, but once it was done you could either order a pirate Fighter Wing...a bunch of Uglies or you could order in a strike force...elite units that are deployed in a small transport that holds like 5 of them.
Yeah, it could be kinda like the badger bomber in RA original. Once you build a secret relations facility a bar slowly builds up for pirates. Except perhaps you should have to pay for them. :D
It would be like building a unit basically...but like the bounty hunter very expensive. And would take a while to make...they would be well worth it though. They would have firepower, but lower HP than normal hero units. You could only make one set of each at a time (RA2-Yuri's Revenge)
I like the idea. Although I think instead of a pirate civ. They do a criminal Civ.
Air units could be Uglies. would make an interesting civ in an X-pack.
pirates would get my vote as well, but don't forget that they mostly are getting in EVERYBODY'S way. Hiring people would make them mercenaries. What if your 'relations-bar' would fill up once you have the special building up, and that filling would cost money automatically ? that way it would cost you quite a bit of money.
that would be good only if you could stop it. (if you need money and it is consuming I would like to be able to stop that option)
Pehaps you could turn it on or off. When on it would slowly go up draining a trickle of money. When it got to the top it would say "Strike Force Ready" or something. However if you wanted to stop it it would pause in the middle of the realations. If you didn't start up again soon enough then the bar would go back to zero, because the pirates got tired of being put off. How about something like that? :D
How about if you like breach an alliance before it is over you villies revolt and some become...Gurillas(as in gurilla warfare:p )
Also the pirates don't need to be a civ. No definatly not. Each side may hire pirates(with the exeption of Naboo) and would build them as units in their fortress. They wouldn't be able to detect Jedi's like Bounty Hunter, but they will have more firepower and can have Uglies...
yeah pirates would be cool...
it would also be cool if you could deal with smugglers as well. but those smugglers are dangerous to trade with. yet they give you stuff cheaper. that would add a risk dynamic to the game as well :D
Yeah, pirates would be awesome.
They could have Cloakshape fighters and Gunboats.
Their Bounty Hunters would be the best `~`~`~`~`
The Hutts seem a very possible race to do. Their building set could consist of Tatooine-style buildings. Their troops are already known from RotJ. You know, the ones that wear that covering over their faces like the one lando wore. Their villagers could be those pig things. Their scouts could be pod racers or swoop bikes. As for the mechs, the barge in RotJ that Jabba was on coud be the AT-AT equivalent. Wonder=Jabbas palace or whatever it was called. They had just as much exposure as the Naboo, if not more so they would be an easy race to make. Just fill in the blanks.
Well, they definately could salvage a whole civs from the movies, but i think i would pass them up for some of the other civs. Namely the Chiss, the Noghri and the Mon Cals.

Me too. Although I might change the Mon Cals to Hapans since the Mon Cals...um...well I was going to say they aren't exactly a galactic power but neither are the Gungans, Naboo or Wookie.
No the Mon Cals are a pretty big power they have there own fighters I think and cruisers.
While I like the mon cals. I wonder maybe their civ will be a little to similar to the Gunguns.
I'm for the Chiss 100%. They are completely different than all the other races in looks and technology. Not abilities, but like for instance many people use swoops. The Chiss are seperate from every one else though, so that makes them a good choice for an extra civ along with the Vong. But I like the Chiss better than the Vong. ALL FOR THE CHISS!!! :D
 I hate the Vong!
I don't know about the Chiss but I do know that I never want to see the Vong in GB.
 I hate them!
Anyway, I like the idea of the Mon Calamari, which would be different enough from the Gungans. I also like the Rodians, Geonosians, Kaminoans, and especially the Trandoshans! :bossk:
I would like to see the Ssi-ruuk, Mon Cals., Hutts, Hapes, Vong, Trandosans, and Black Sun in GB.
(They would be interesting to FIGHT or PLAY! :) )
I saw somewhere that there is going to be trade vessels or something right? Well maybe they could make the pirates a neutral group on a given map that can be eliminated like the "natural" fauna. They could run around and prey
on trade routes and ambush military units. Then if you want to "hire" them you can either find their base, and send a Jedi or Bounty hunter to them to negotiate terms. Kinda like alittle side action.
