i am getting graphic flickering with the geforce 4 ti4600,i dont mean the image tearing that is solved with the set seta_swapinterval 1 console command ,i get flickering on walls doors & alot on the pause/menu screen ,ive tried every driver i can, even the new leaked driver 29.something i cant use the 23.11 because dont support geforce 4 ,ive tried every setting in the game & every resolution ,i installed the grforce tweak utility & tried lots of differant settings on it,if i turn off the gl extension within the game it flickers way more ,it did this before & after the patch ,ive been playing morrowwind & it runs fine ,american mcgees alice does the same flickering ,alice uses the quake 3 engine just as jedi outcast ,im thinking its something to do with the quake 3 engine, i have

512 mb ram
asus motherboard -via
geforce 4 ti 4600 -128 mb ddr

Sounds to me like these are the syptoms of an overclocked video card. I have screwed around extensively with my card and when it's overclocked too high quake3 engine games flicker like a mofo.

On a related note, I have a GeForce 2 and the game flickers on some levels, like the Nar Shaddaa streets level in single player. The lights are flickering and it's really weird. It wasn't like this before the patch though

Things to try, go to display properties, settings tab, advanced button, tab with your card on it, IE GF4, Additional Properties button, Opengl Tab. Turn vsyc to ALWAYS OFF. Enable ansiotropic filtering, make sure EVERY checkbox is on EXCEPT disbale enhanced CPU instruction set. I also suggest turning off AA, but thats your call to make on the 3D AA Tab.

In game try disabeling shadows or setting them to simple. Maybe try disabeling opengl extensions also.

I'm having exactly the same problems with my system. The rippling only started when I upgraded to the GF4 Ti4400 but I've noticed it too in Medal of Honour.

Has anybody got a link to a tweak guide or know how to put this right because its really annoying.

Athlon Tbird 1 Ghz

Abit KT7 Raid /latest 4in1/4.38s/latest bios upgrade

I am going to assun eyou two have W2k or Win XP? If so, known issue, go to guru3D and get refresh rate hacked version of nvidia drivers, otherwise [ie W9x users] try reinstalling your monitor [NOT VIDEO CARD, but MONITOR], its probably listed as unknown.

OK I have XP and a GeForce 2 MX 400. On multiplayer (that at least won't lock  ) I see horrizontal breaks or "shimmers" in the graphics. Is that what you are talking about? If it is then I can fix it with this. I also see flicker of something that texture in other games, like Aliens vs Predator 2. Nothing major, but it made me think it was a refresh issue.
