I installed the new patch, and I see I'm not alone in my problems. Initially, I couldn't get my gravis gamepad pro to work (even though the setup was right), so I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game from scratch. Now I get this error when trying to start up a single player game:

Everything was fine before the patch, now I can't even start the game up. Any help would be much appreciated.

I finally got my game up and running. To anyone who might have the same error I had, you'll have to delete your configuration files and saved games when you uninstall. I also deleted the game folder to REALLY start from scratch. After a 3rd uninstall/re-install, it works. I strongly urge everyone to leave that blasted patch alone!
