Hey, just this last week, my roommate and I (who are on the same HUB, and thus, have the same IP), have had some problems using UBB boards.

Either it's a problem with our network, or this latest version of the UBB.

The problem is, we can post new topics, and it shows up, but if we reply to a topic, or if we delete a post, even if we hit refresh, or come back to the page after shutting down IE, it refuses to appear. Later on, I can come back to the page (the next day) and the post(s) will be there, but I have no idea why it doesn't post right away as it used to.

Any ideas on what the problem might be and how to remedy it?

Thanks!

Can't say I know what to do about it, but it happens to me sometimes at my university's network. It is wierd, as sometimes my posts appear right away, sometimes I have to hit refresh and sometimes they don't appear for hours.

It never happens to me on my 56K at home, not once.

I have not observed that problem yet. But I'll keep an eye out for it.

Btw, what is that new logo? It's kind of cool, but I don't know what it's supposed to be.

The movie or the series?

I thought the movies were fairly poor (not even mentioning #2, which is right up there for worst movie ever made). I really like the series though.

the movie. Trin and I watched it "together" last night.

It was okay... I don't really like too many total guy movies, and this was definitely one of them, but it was okay.

Blasphemy! The movies are far superior to the series in my opinion. Highlander 2 is certainly an interesting film, I think all the mean-spirited criticism of it is way overblown. It had a great plot, and geled perfectly with the first film.

I recently got the 10th anniversary director's cut of Highlander on DVD, now there's a fan's dream. ; )

Highlander 3, however, was more of a remake of the first film, but not as well done. Sure it had some great sword fights, but it totally lost all continuity with the first and second films.

The series, while cool, still pails. The violence is much more subdued (this is TV), plus you get alot of the same plots repeated over and over. I mean how many immortals are there? Millions? How long is the gathering? Something like five years running.. it stretches the thin plot to the limit. Granted, I think Adrian Paul is a cool highlander, and there are some good battles, but if you compare the two, nobody beats the Kurgan as the ultimate villian.

I'm interested in seeing the upcoming movie, which will have nothing to do with the other films at all, but be a "finisher" to the series, which ended rather recently (the final episode was kind of anti-climactic for me, and "the Raven?" give me a break!).

The Highlander films are total "guy flicks" alot of action, a somewhat imaginative plot (which has alot more potential than they take advantage of unfortunately), and lots of violence. For the sword fights alone, it's worth my time.

I'll try it, thanks for the help, btw. ; )
