I come into the civ stats hoping to see some resemblance of a Star Destroyer or some small Imperial Ship like a Carrack Cruiser. NOOOOO you had to go and make a ship that looks like it was welded together by a madman!

I then check Rebels just to make sure you didn't screw up there too, but no. Instead of a cool Mon Cal looking ship or even a Rebel Blockade Runner...we get some funked out ship never seen or heard of before! Oh the Humanity!

Heh heh. I would admit the Ganguns Aircruiser looks crap, but all the others are OK.

I think the Wookiees Air Cruiser looks great! The Naboo has the best looking cruiser, the only one I don't like is the Gungan cruiser, but all their air units look crappy.

They look good Fergie. I was waiting for a Star Destroyer-like thing, and yes, it looks strange, but it's cool though. The Rebel one is kinda like the Tantive IV, so it's pretty cool.

The Naboo is the coolest one. :)

The Gungan one looks like a floaty thingy with gundark skin AHH!
I like the other ones but i think the Rebel one looks the cools
but the Naboo as usual is pleasing to the eye

The Air Cruisers carry alot of power. When I upload a recorded game, you will see them in action. They are a major threat and will mean new strategies in the game.

lol, i think you need to relax fergie. if you've ever played starcraft, i think they're trying to make this air cruiser similar to the terran battlecruiser. i think this could be pretty neat...

The Naboo one looks awesome, but I have always loved the Naboo architecture and cool-looking ships. The Naboo aren't that great as part of the game (unless you love jedi) to me even though they look cool.

The Imperial Air Cruiser looks like a Winnebago with Tie panels.

The SUCK in the looks department. (I don't care about gameplay at this point this thread is about their pittiful artwork) They don't even come close to SW goodness...The Naboo certainly does, but that is only because we don't have much to go on.

But the Rebs and Imps versions look like crap. I mean you would think that SOME of the Cruisers would LOOK like cruisers from those sides...The Imp one looks like somebody decided..."Hey I bet an At-St would look cool with TIE Interceptor wings!"

I mean it looks like one of the "Uglies" mentioned in the Rogue Squadron books!:mad:

Am I the only one who realizes that Air Cruisers are NOT Star Cruisers, after all who ever heard of a star destroyer that can be taken out by like 3 fighters? Plus I actually like the Imperial Air Cruiser! Although ya the Naboo is better...

Cor. Corvettes can be used in the atomosphere...so can Carracks. Also as shown in AoTC trailers there are really good Cruisers that we were DENIED!

I got no probelm with how they look. I think a flying laser platform would look more like a tie fighter then a star destroyer.

mon cal only make curisers for the rebels they dont make fighters or transports and so theirs no way of knowing what a large laser platform would look like.

I think they're okay (exc. Gungan) but the they do look like they were added at the last second because they don't appear as refined as the other new pieces of artwork.

The Gangun's just looks creepy.:freakout:

the gungans looks like the Vong did some genetic engineering on their air transport.

Maybe we could have a Vong campaign with Ganguns as Vong.:D

Your right, the Empire Air Cruiser should be called the TIE Semi, but that makes for some really funny chats. Besides, a flying truck with a souped-up AT-AT cannon isn't that bad.

I wish they could attack other air units.

IMO I think seeing a Star Destroyer that's been shrunk down to the size of an AT-AT would be pretty silly. If you want Star Destroyers or Mon Cal crusiers, start asking Lucas Arts for a space based RTS. Even those proto-Star Destroyers from the Ep II trailer are really too large to be used, as you can tell from the parked versions you see in the game.

I'm all for commanding capital ships in a space based RTS, BELIEVE me I am, but I don't want to see them in THIS game.

As for the look of the Imperial Air Cruiser.... it doesn't look too bad to me. Not the best looking Air Cruiser... but not too bad. Looks like it belongs in the Imperial Army instead of the Imperial Navy, which it should.

I already have a SW absed space RTS well alright it's a mod for homeworld but it looks as good as the orignal movie. You can even have your Star destroyers chase around blockcade runners thou they get away fairly quickly (if they live that is). Ah it's good fun.
