Greetings to all...
I am G. B. Jackson, founder and director of the Cooperative Game Development Community (CGDC).
I am looking to gather individuals who are skilled in varrious aspect of game development, including (but not limited to) level design, C++ coding, music composition, Graphics development, Sound development, and Game concept development.
The goal of the CGDC is to provide a pool of human resources from which development teams may be formed with the intent to design professional original games to be either sold or distributed freely (team's disgression) upon completion
I have been observing the creative efforts of many talented individuals within the Star Wars game community, and it is my hope that some of you will be willing to join the CGDC.
If you have ever dreamed of developing a computer game, then the CGDC would be a great community to join. It is currently in its infant stage, but with your help, it can grow.
If you are already in charge of an editing team, then you could move your team under the CGDC umbrella, thus giving your project another avenue of publicity. I will be developing a web site very shortly which will keep the public informed of new developments within the community, including updates to your project's web sites
Having your team join the CGDC will in no way take anything from your efforts. It will simply allow a wider community of gamers to easily find your project. All that would be necessary for you to do would be to place a link to our web site (once we get it up and running).
As an individual member of the CGDC, you would be placed "on call", available for work within a dev team formed within the community.
The Star Wars editing community is not the only group I hope to have. I will be contacting members of the Quake, Unreal, Half-Life, Doom, and Wheel of Time communities as well. It is my hope to gather enough talented individuals from which a professional dev team may be formed with which we can demonstrate that the corporate game companies are not the only ones who can make good games.
If you would like further information on the CGDC, please E-mail me, and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Take care, and God bless...
In Christ,
G. B. Jackson
"We shall double our efforts!" I'm working on the characters and other models for Jackson's game currently in production, and I'm behind him all of the way. I think it is a great way to build a more efficient, larger team that will be able to get things done faster. And with a range of different communities, you get a vast array of people that are good with different types of files, engines, codings, and such. Well...that's my two cents...

Thanks for the support.
A great deal of discussion has been made regarding the community I have proposed. Take a look at what the Wheel of Time community thinks at

Now, let's hear what you all think...
Alright, I've heard alot of talk about this so called community, but where are you're accomplishments?
I looked at most of what you had to say, but I didn't find one link to a site.
I'd say I was interested, but at this point, I'd be a little more interested if I could actually see something solid.
Thus far, all that has been provided is words. Nothing personnal, but I'm not willing to devote any time to something that I'm not even sure exists...
If you can show me what your capable of, I'd be more inclined to offer what help I can...

As I mentioned, there is no web site yet. I am trying to build an introductory group of members right now, and the web site will be based on that.
It's coming soon.

I am more than inclined to help, but right now I'm in the learning stages of programming and it seems as if all this team needs is a programmer. To be quite honest, this is and always will be the heart of game developement. Converting an idea to binary data takes a programmer, and this is the hardest job of game development. It takes the most time, and it takes the most talent to be able to unify all aspects of the game being worked on by other members. A programmer needs to know about sound, graphics, etc. I've noticed that you say any earnings of this group will be split "evenly", and I can already see a problem with this. If you ever do make money you will technically be a business, and the people who work harder will not want to have an equal share of profits. I'd love to do this voluntarily and expect the software to be freeware, but again I admit I'd only want to do programming and it would only prove too much for me to have an understanding in all aspects of game development. Perhaps if you gathered some experienced programmers I'd want to learn and help, but I would only ruin the project if I decided to lead in the programming aspect.
Man, I'm too confused! That's all I'm saying!
