Hey everyone, just got off the bus back from E3. Darkhawk (Kevin) had some classes to go to (poor guy) so he's not here and we'll have that next in-depth report on the other LEC titles and overall impressions of E3 coming up, probably tomorrow sometime.

It was a great trip, we met tons of game developers, saw exclusive movies, got hundreds of dollars worth of game magazines and free crap, saw Bruce Campbell (of "Evil Dead" fame), rapper Coolio, and even our very own Cali-Girl (in the flesh!).

The only downsides to the trip were the insane bus ride over and back, and the fact that we didn't get a single picture (Cali-Girl snapped one of us at the Mplayer booth though..).

So, feel free to go read our first installment (hope Aristotle didn't cut it down too much, lol), and email us your questions! kurgan@iastate.edu (http://kurgan@iastate.edu) shek@iastate.edu (http://shek@iastate.edu)

Hey I've always wondered how an average Joe like me could get into that. What do you need to do/be? It seems like it is the coolest thing to do besides play games(doh). So if you could tell how to get in, i was just curious.

You mean to go to E3? Well, you ought to visit www.e3expo.com) (http://www.e3expo.com) for that information (when and where).

It's held once a year and you have to be at least 18 years of age (unless you are a surgically enhanced British model dressed as a videogame character).

The passes range anywhere from $200-450 and the more you pay the more you are supposed to be able to see there (conferences and stuff).

Often, if you work for a game magazine or website, you can get press passes from your employer. Sometimes, they will even offer to cover the costs of your trip. It depends.

Basically it is all about who you know, and if you can scrape together the dough and plans well enough in advance to get there.
