Hey these guys are puttin up all these screen shots, why cant they put the units, buildings and techs on the internet so we got something to tide us over! I read somewhere that they are already finished with the units and such so why not let everyone see them. Who cares if you gonna make changes to them later, i just want to know who has what and what units are in the game and which ones arent!
I'm you on this one. If they have the units, then they should release them.
I agree b/c I like to know what units to except and there special abiltites.
It's standard procedure for game companies to slowly release stuff, increasing the amount as you get closer to release. They have to keep the community buzzing after all;)
About 4 months untill it's rerealsed,I can handle it......I can..I can....:explode:
actually, i believe it is only about 2 or 3 months until release, maybe less. So you won't have to wait even that long.
Yes, we do need something to peak our interest! I stare at the screen shots daily wishing for something more....:(
well, from that interview it seems as if LEC is planning on releasing the game before 2002 (around xmas), it could be around 4 months of waiting....

Which is why we need to keep us occupied, with perhaps a demo ;) Or maybe some screen shots of never before seen units?
I'm fully behind releasing a demo. Even if it's just one mission. Instead of a demo call it an early preview;)
They can release a real demo closer to release. LOL we can dream I guess...
I'm glad I'm a patient person unlike the rest of you so I can wait while the rest of you can't handle the waiting.:D
Demo they will give us!! *waves hand around*
most Lucasarts-games were demo-ed, weren't they ? I'm just thinking that GB would be hard to demo without giving away too much in advance. you'd only be able to do a first campaign mission or something.. i wouldn't like a simple movie or something like that; i want to FEEL the game before it comes out..
Perhaps in the demo you culd just be one civ, you could only go to like the second age, and you could only build like 3/4 of the troops, and 1/3 of the vehicle, maybe one aircraft or boat. That wouldn't be too much to ask, would it? :D
if you only got to level two then you could get any aircraft at all, as they apear in tl3.
They should have one civ, one map, one opponent, all the units.
I think the demo would be the whole traning campagn and one random ma, kinda like the AOK demo.Wait arent I dead? Oh well...
Is Geo's box bigger than the others (reaches across the whole screen) on anyone elses computer, or just mine? Seems kinda odd that just his is all the way across.
Anyway, they couldn't give the entire first campaign for the demo. That would be waaayyy too much. At least, I think so.:D
the first mission in the first campaign like in the Conqoruers demo. That wouldnt be to much to ask.
That wouldn't be very much to play either. The first mission of the campaigns are allways like "take your hero past the enemy and to the allies base." that wouldn't be good at all. We need at leas tone skirmish map.
i think half of three civ campaigns and a limited scenario editor would be good enough for me, plus a taste of ground, air, and sea units in a limited skirmish mode as well. you gotta remember that lucasarts will probably not throw everything all at once, but little by little. i think this would be cool.
I think it will be very similar, if not the same as the AOK demo: Learning Campaign, and one random map scenario...
