You can do it with various programs and there are various way to do it.

Probably the easiest way would be to save it as a .gif and while saving it, set the background color to transparent.

"making sure the color you want to get rid of is set as the bg color. :D"

or you could cut out all the area you want transparent, but that can be difficult.
