I restarted after it crashed and now my desktop, my folders, everything is all screwed up and very bright and none of my screen properties can fix it, pls help?!!

I am guessing you have fixed it by now... but it appears that when JO crashes to desktop, you are stuck with its gamma settings even on desktop. I get the same thing.

I either just reset, or goto Screen Properties and to my color adjustment panel. For me, just clicking on one of the sliders brings back my true settings.

This happens to me as well. Actually, when it sends me to the desktop it also hides my wallpaper. I use Powerstrip and it makes it very easy to correct the brightness issue without having to hunt through the Display Properties and mess with sliders.

i just shut my comp down for a while and it returned back to normal
