First, I'm a savvy Q3 server admin. So you can skip the baby talk :)

When I run ./jk2ded +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg it spits out:

JK2MP: v1.02a linux-i386 Mar 6 2002
Initialising zone memory .....
----- FS_Startup -----
Current search path:
/home/mwsmith/.jkii/base
/home/mwsmith/jedi/base/assets1.pk3 (8011 files)
/home/mwsmith/jedi/base/assets0.pk3 (6674 files)
/home/mwsmith/jedi/base
./jk2ded/base

----------------------
14685 files in pk3 files
Sys_Error: Invalid product identification

Thanks for any assistance you can provide,

Try removing the +set dedicated 2 from the command. You don't need it becuase the server is already dedicated. No way of launching it as a client, so it will default.
