Hmm..I realized that before becoming a Rancor, I never got to Noghri....I turned from a Wookie directly to a Rancor...something with the rankings?

As far as evolution is concerned, the rankings don't make much sense, I agree.
You might remember a little poll I put out weeks ago about this. If one thing was clear it was that the majority of users wanted them changed.
It is likely they be will be changed, at least from where I am sitting. No ETA on this right now, sorry.
