Hi, Yoha and I have made our own forum, no popups or banners, just Monkey Island fun. I'm not trying to take you away from LucasForums, I just want you to check it out. Join if you wish. :)

I've been there, they are brilliant.

The best thing...you don't have to download extra software, that installs toolbars in your browser that clutter your visible space and eats resources -- to keep those pesky pop-ups from cluttering up visible space and eating your resources ... because this collection of forums HAS NO POP-UPS.

This place is becoming like a porn site ... I have had 5 pop-ups just posting this message.

Something else just happened when I tried to post this message ... the standard "We are down" message. :( This server seems to go down at least once a day from "high server loads" I haven't experience this at Kjшlen and Yoha's site.

Something else worthy of note: I had a problem with my account there ... it was fixed within an hour. The Admins there are on top of things.

All in all, you could do worse than to pay a visit to Monkey Mountain Forums (http://www.littlewyng.com/monkey/forums/). :)

Maybe that's because their members list has 5 entries and LucasForum's has 10 billion or so.

Why don't we stop... pardon my language... *****ing over this situation. WOuld you either:
a.) Have lucasforums with ads, or
b.) have no lucasfans.com, mixnmojo.com, samandmax.net, etc...

I mean sure your account was fixed within an hour... because maybe they have almost no members so administrating is easy. Same reason for the server.

The sites on mixnmojo are using a lot of PHP, and if we didn't need php, then we could pay cheaper... but we pay for a server that has the best things that we need to give the best mixnmojo community experience, at the cost of a few banners and pop-ups. If you dont like popups stop complaining and go get the panicware popup stopper so we don't have to hear you argue or comment negatively about it whenever the subject comes up.

Hey Schmatz, did you help make a movie before becuase I was watching a movie, and I saw a guy with Schmatz as his last name. I think it was the Waterboy.... also, We were just advertising, sheesh we weren't like poking people with sticks :rolleyes:

that forum is pretty neato, sorry we have to have ads on ours but we do have over 25,000 members and the bandwidth required to run all these forums is immense....

as for pop ups they get us the majority of our money, hopefully they will all go away sooner or later.

I'm told by m,y colleageus that you should only get pop ups on the first few visits to mojo per day, after that then hteir should be any at all.... of course that might not work very well in the real world.

sorry u dont like purple, but i htink you can change the look of this place if you want to.... besides it wouldnt be mojo if it wasnt purple. We may work on a new design for this place when E3 is out of the way....

After clearing cookies, I get absolutely molested by popups on mixnmojo. That includes those horrible comet cursor popups that install no less than 20 pieces of spyware on my computer.
