Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the S-foils are locked in attack postition.

Those X-Wings look GREAT!!!! They turned out looking EXACTLY like I wanted them to.If they open and close that will be awesome but if not I can live with that.

they need to be open, or they would look too much like z-95's. It would be hard to tell, don't you think?
