hi, i'm have trouble getting X-Wing Alliance to work. According to DXDiag on c:\ everything is fine, and direct sound & 3D test out fine.
I have win98Se and directX 6.1, with a Diamond Viper 770 (TNT2) and Diamond Monster Sound II MX300 sound card. Diamond drivers installed.

But according to DxDiag on the XWing Alliance disk, i am missing various files and have problems.

In any case, when i go to enter the training simulator, i crash to desktop.

any ideas for me?

Well, I'm using 98se and the Viper V770 (Ultra, though), and everything works fine.

Maybe try getting the newest version of DirectX. Certainly try looking for the newest versions of your video and sound cards.
